Contentment, resting quietly, the body relaxed. I allow my attention to go gently. To my breath, watching the air go in and out. With every inhale and exhale, the body becomes more relaxed and the mind. Begins to quiet. All the thoughts in my mind begin to merge into this present moment. And now I gently begin to reflect on my feelings. How much of my daily experience is spent in the awareness of lacking something or that something is not right. For the next several minutes, let me experience what it feels like when everything is all right. I am whole and complete. Full of gentle, natural happiness and contentment. This is the essence of my heart. The feeling part of my nature. I allow myself to melt into this feeling. I visualize a beautiful nature scene. Or a silent celestial view. Or even the feeling of being with loved ones in perfect understanding and silence. Bring forth for yourself that feeling of self nurturing fullness. Content with myself and all of life. Become quieter, become more still. As I reach in with a gentle attention to my heart of hearts and touch the love that I have inside. This natural connection to all. And the quiet smile of contentment. Gently breathing in and out. The soul is pulsating with sweet, gentle beingness. I allow myself to melt into this feeling. Release, into this feeling. Knowing that it belongs to me. It is me. I take a few more moments and allow myself to feel whole and complete. The idea of needing anything is not relevant. It means nothing to me. I am sitting full with an inner smile of pure peace. A I am feeling pure feelings of contentment and I know that this is me. Now gently preparing to return to waking awareness. Try to maintain this peace, this inner fullness. As you bring forth your energy up into your face, taking a deep breath in and out, moving your fingers and toes as you return to waking awareness. Remember, in my heart of hearts, I am peaceful, whole, connected. And content. Om Shanti.
